• Day 31: endurance

My great grandfather made this toolbox one million years ago, and I think it’s just the coolest thing. It’s filled with a ton of heavy, old tools (that I cannot name), too!

    📸

  • Day 30: fish

Planted a clematis on the fish wine rack.

    📸

  • Lady Macbeth, 2016 — ★★★★. Don’t…get married? Don’t…fall in love? Don’t…be a woman?

  • Day 29: stripes

The garden has changed and grown over the years, but this fence is one of my favorite parts.

    📸

  • Day 28: fair

Is there a fairer flower than a daisy?? Gonna propagate these things all over the place.

    📸

  • Day 27: written

I have succeeded in creating backyard hammock meadowvibes.

    📸

  • The Alpinist, 2021 — ★★★½. Nope.

  • The Sixth Sense, 1999 — ★★★★. Irritatingly asking my child “WHAT DO YOU THINK THE TWIST IS??” over and over while watching.

  • Day 26: schedule

    Lacecap hydrangeas right on schedule!

    📸

  • Day 25: mountain

Mountain of a tree? Idk, I got behind by a couple of days.

    📸

  • Raincoats: Do you wanna be wet on the outside AND the inside??

  • Day 24: intricate

Stealing plant ideas from the landscaping in and around Maymont.

    📸

  • Day 23: plain

Plain tired, I tell you what.

    📸

  • Day 22: textile

This our best blanket. Made by Val’s grandma and a treasured possession.

    📸

  • Been making Ceasar salads with Chex Mix instead of croutons for the last couple of days because I am a genius.

  • Day 21: symmetry

    📸

  • Senior Year, 2022 — ★★★. I watched this instead of thinking about the Governor.

  • This World Alone, 2021 — ★★½. So many dissolves.

  • Thanks to Del. VanValkenburg for standing up for state employees.

The policy unilaterally takes away our agencies’ ability to offer flexible schedules to their employees — even when an employee has been teleworking since before the COVID-19 pandemic. It also takes away the discretion of agency leadership to manage the particular needs of their teams…While the commonwealth frequently cannot compete with private-sector salaries, we can and do offer great health benefits, a retirement plan and, until recently, workplace flexibility. Virginia needs a top-tier workforce for our government to function effectively, and we cannot afford to lose talented state employees.

  • Day 20: beverage

Extreme coffee, screen porch, and native plant vibes.

    📸

  • Day 19: indulgence

The Hot Date from Hot For Pizza is officially my favorite pizza in Richmond.

    📸

  • Two beers + riding home at night = Romantic feelings for my bike.

  • Day 18: random

Riding bikes with the randomest collection of folks, including the 3rd District Councilmember (who came out on her blades).

    📸

  • Avatar, The Last Airbender: The Shadow of Kyoshi by F. C. Yee — ★★★★.

I hate it here, moving to the Fire Nation, bye.

    📚
